DEWATERING

The TEKNOBAG-DRAIMAD® Package delivers efficient sludge dewatering results. After just a few hours of operation, with proper sludge conditioning using polyelectrolytes, dry solids (D.S.) contents of 15-30% can be achieved, depending on the sludge type.

The volume of dewatered sludge varies based on the solid content of the raw feed sludge. For example:

  • With raw sludge containing 1% dry solids, the system can process up to 20 m³/day.

This performance makes the TEKNOBAG-DRAIMAD® Package an ideal solution for optimizing sludge treatment efficiency in compact dewatering plants.

DRYING

After the initial dewatering stage, the bags are sealed, removed using a special bag trolley, and stored in the open. During this secondary phase, the sludge weight and volume continue to decrease, regardless of weather conditions.

Key features of the drying process include:

  • Water-Repellent Material: The bags are made from a special material that prevents rainwater from entering while allowing dehydration through evaporation.
  • High Dry Solids Content:After two months, the sludge achieves a minimum of 50% dry solids content.
    With extended storage, the content increases to 70-95% dry solids.

For example, 1 m³ of sludge with 1% solids content will, after two months, produce a cake with 50% dry solids content, weighing only 20 kg—a 50-fold reduction in the original weight.
