TEKNOFANGHI’s SCRUDRAIN® dynamic thickeners with an Archimedean screw represent the state of the art in sludge thickening technology. Performance

The SCRUDRAIN® thickener adjusts the sludge concentration by regulating the speed of the Archimedean screw, allowing sludge with 0.5-3% D.S. to be thickened to 5-15% D.S.. This flexibility ensures optimal results for various sludge types and processes.

The SCRUDRAIN® sludge thickener delivers superior performance compared to conventional systems, achieving significantly higher thickening results. With the ability to handle sludge flows ranging from a few m³/h up to a maximum of 200 m³/h per single unit, the system offers unmatched versatility. ARCHIMEDEAN SCREW

The standout feature of the SCRUDRAIN® sludge thickener is its Archimedean screw, which replaces the conventional empty drum design found in traditional systems. This innovative technology enables efficient thickening, allowing sludge with 0.5-3% dry solids (D.S.) to be increased to 5-15% D.S., depending on the sludge type.

FILTRATE

During the washing phase, dirty particles removed from the process remain inside the drum thickener and are discharged along with the thickened sludge. This design ensures a particularly clean filtrate with a high efficiency capture rate of up to >98%, delivering superior filtration performance.

AUTOMATIC WASHING SYSTEM

The filter cloth in the SCRUDRAIN® is maintained in optimal condition with an automatic washing system, featuring specially designed TEKNOFANGHI spray nozzles. These nozzles are engineered to consume significantly less water compared to standard options available on the market. For added convenience, the nozzles can be easily removed and cleaned without the need for tools, ensuring rapid maintenance and uninterrupted operation.

LONG LIFE FILTER CLOTH

The filter cloth in the SCRUDRAIN® is designed for exceptional durability, as it is not subjected to tensile stress. Instead, it is directly fixed onto the Archimedean screw, reducing wear and extending its operational life. Combined with the robust and simple machine structure, these thickeners deliver unparalleled reliability and long-term performance.

PLUG AND PLAY UNITS

The SCRUDRAIN® thickeners are delivered as fully equipped plug-and-play units, complete with a control panel, washing pump, and all necessary ancillary equipment for efficient operation. The control panel allows for complete automatic operation and is designed to interface seamlessly with other panels, providing signals to drive both the sludge pump and the polyelectrolyte pump.

To ensure a clean and user-friendly experience, the machine is fully enclosed, effectively preventing odour emissions and maintaining a controlled environment.

DEDICATED ACCESSORIES

The SCRUDRAIN® can be customized with optional accessories to enhance performance and adaptability. These include:

  • A reactor-flocculator to optimize the mixing of sludge and polyelectrolyte, ensuring efficient distribution inside the drum thickener.
  • A dedicated tank for storing and transferring thickened sludge, complete with a level probe and a thickened sludge pump for seamless operation.
